Now that you know a little about the science behind Calibrate, let’s dive into how the program actually works.

Calibrate combines accountability coaching with a science-backed curriculum, ongoing health metrics tracking, and, if applicable, a personalized clinical care plan to help you improve your metabolic health and lose weight. Right from the start, we’re in it together to help you make the most out of your membership.

What’s included in Calibrate

Curriculum

Great news—you’re already here! Fundamentals is the very first class in your Calibrate curriculum, followed by Level 1 Method. Once you complete these first two classes, you’ll receive an email and push notification every two weeks letting you know that a new class has been unlocked.

In the last lesson, we learned that in order to achieve metabolic health over the long haul, we need to consistently sustain our new habits. That’s why, every two weeks, you’ll get a new Calibrate class focusing on food, exercise, sleep, or emotional health habits. Each class is made up of three short lessons packed full of actionable, small steps and strategies to help you meet and sustain your goals across all four pillars.

Alongside each class, you’ll receive a new goal that you’ll work on for the two full weeks. You’ll find this goal at the end of each lesson in the “Make It Your Goal” section in your current class, and also on the home screen of your Calibrate app.

To help make the curriculum manageable, we’ve divided the program into eight levels. In each three-month long level, you’ll cycle through a class on each pillar of metabolic health, each one building upon the one before it. At the end of every level, you’ll also have an extra opportunity to double down in an area that you think needs some extra attention. Because, odds are, life will get in the way somewhere along the line. And we get it.

All your classes live in the Curriculum tab of your Calibrate app. Here you’ll be able to see which classes are available (unlocked) or unavailable (locked) with the date they will be released.

A few other things to note:

  • When you tap into each lesson, you’ll have the option to read it on your screen, or tap a link to listen to an audio recording in either English or Spanish. Read more about why we offer audio here.
  • Once you finish reading a lesson and scroll to the end, you’ll be prompted to check a box to mark the lesson as complete. Then you’ll be able to progress to the next available lesson.
  • Below each class, you’ll see a section called Recommended Resources, which includes curated content related to your current class to help you maximize your success.
  • Below the Recommended Resources, you’ll see a section called Additional Resources, which houses additional guides, recipes, videos, and more—all sorted by category.
  • Events and community can help you maximize success across the program. Keep an eye out for ways to get involved in our Calibrate Community to meet and connect with other members just like you.

Coaching

Once you complete this class and your next class, Level 1 Method, you’ll be able to schedule your first coaching session.

In this first 15-minute Zoom video call, you and your coach will lay the groundwork for your ongoing partnership. In addition to taking some time to get to know you and setting your first goal (more on that in the next class), your coach will support you in identifying your personal motivators to start you on your path to success.

As you and your coach continue to meet, your time together won’t be about learning what to do (you’ll get that in lessons like this one), but rather about celebrating successes, problem-solving barriers, and personalizing your goals. At every step, your coach is here to help you get results in the ways that work for you, and they don’t expect you to do everything perfectly all the time (or even much of the time). Calibrate is a long-game, and it should always feel that way.

On that note, we understand that life happens. You can reschedule your coaching visit up to 24 hours before the start of your session through the Visits tab of your Calibrate app. After that point, within 24 hours of your visit, your only option is to cancel. If you choose to cancel less than 24 hours before your appointment, you will not be able to reschedule. For your safety, we also ask that you not drive during your coaching session.

Remember that coaches are not licensed medical professionals, and they cannot advise on medications, their side effects, or other medical questions. If these topics come up during a coaching session, your coach will encourage you to reach out to the Clinical Team via the Support Center in the Calibrate app.

Clinical care

If your Calibrate program involves a consultation with the Calibrate Clinical Team about medication, you’ll be prompted in the app to schedule an initial 30-minute Zoom video call after you’ve had your first coaching session and completed your labs. If you need to reschedule this appointment, you can do this in the Visits tab of the Calibrate app.

Note that you don’t need to line up your curriculum and medication to get the most out of Calibrate; our program was intentionally designed to accommodate a variety of clinical approaches, and not all members require clinical care. No matter your treatment plan, we guarantee results on or off medication.

Your Support Center

You’ll find all updates to your care in the Support Center in the Calibrate app. You can always use the Support Center to connect with the Calibrate Team with questions about your metabolic health, weight loss progress, and anything else related to Calibrate.

For quick access to general medical information, click on the Curriculum tab of your Calibrate app and open any class. Under the Additional Resources section, click on Program Resources, then open the Medication Guides folder for content on how to use your medication pen, what to do for common side effects, and more.

Remember, Calibrate isn’t intended for emergency care, so if you’re worried something could be urgent, please reach out to your regular doctor or call 911.
